Dansbandsveckan starts in Malung with 82 bands

Dansbandsveckan in Malung begins today with around 100,000 visitors and 82 bands. The festival offers dance courses, speed-dating and a car exhibition over one week.

Malung transforms during the week into the Nordic region's largest dance band metropolis. A total of 82 bands and artists perform, including both established names and debutants.

The week opens with Guldklaven 2026, a gala where the industry awards prizes. Other features include speed-dating at Hole Bystuga and a car exhibition arranged by Big Wheels.

Visitors can join Buggruset, a five-kilometer running event, or take dance courses with Tony Irving and Cecilia Ehrling Danermark. A free bus runs between Grönlandsparken and Folkets Park Orrskogen.
