DLSU business college earns 4 palmes of excellence

On November 11, 2025, De La Salle University's Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business received 4 Palmes of Excellence at the Eduniversal World Convention in Indore, India. The award places the college in the top 20% of 1,000 ranked business schools worldwide. It recognizes their programs that blend academic rigor with real-world business experience.

The Eduniversal World Convention, hosted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore at the Indore Marriott Hotel, centered on the theme “Bridging Purpose and Performance: Business Education as a Force for Good.” Professor Himanshu Rai, director of IIM Indore, opened the event with his remarks and keynote. Rai noted that his institution holds Triple Crown accreditation, ranks in the world's top 1% of business schools, and occupies a 193-acre campus. It contributes to Indore's development, recognized as India's cleanest city for seven consecutive years.

In his keynote, Rai drew on Vedic wisdom and ancient Sanskrit texts to discuss ethical leadership. He cited examples of leaders failing due to fixation on performance metrics, dodging accountability, and fearing failure over pursuing excellence. He described IIM Indore as “ancient yet agile,” integrating Indian heritage into the core of business education, not merely as an elective.

In the article by Patrick Adriel H. Aure, PhD, founding director of the PHINMA-DLSU Center for Business and Society and associate professor at DLSU, the award prompts questions about Philippine business schools as a global force for good. He advocates integrating Filipino values like diwa, kapwa, and loob—representing collective consciousness, relational interconnectedness, and inner conviction—with the Lasallian Reflection Framework of Masid-Danas (See-Experience), Suri-Nilay (Analysis-Reflection), and Taya-Kilos (Commitment-Action).

He proposes three shifts: first, treat Filipino values as foundational to business education, not supplementary; second, develop pedagogical approaches that truly integrate them; and third, root education deeply in Philippine social realities. The RVRCOB advances global excellence through ethical practices, research, and sustainability while nurturing Lasallian leaders.
