Edvin Olofsson signs with Aalborg Pirates

Former Modo goalkeeper Edvin Olofsson has agreed to play for Aalborg Pirates in Denmark. The 28-year-old moves abroad after a season split between clubs in Sweden and Slovakia.

Olofsson began last season with Modo, appearing in 11 games before departing in February. He finished the campaign with HC Presov in Slovakia.

With Modo he recorded a 3.04 goals-against average and an 87.4 percent save rate. He has played more than 140 HockeyAllsvenskan matches for teams including AIK, Västervik and Almtuna.

Aalborg sports chief Ronny Larsen said the signing adds experience and calm to the netminding group alongside Kristers Steinberg. The move gives the club strong competition at the position, Larsen added.
