Alberto Núñez Feijóo has confirmed Rebeca Pérez as the PP candidate for mayor of Murcia during a party meeting held in the city.
The leader of the Popular Party took part on Monday at the Regional Filmoteca in Murcia, where he praised Pérez for her responsibility and humility. He noted that she was invested as mayor at the end of May following the death of José Ballesta.
Feijóo criticized Pedro Sánchez's government over the recent indictment of the president of SEPI and 24 other people. He stated that sanchismo now has as many deputies as those indicted, totaling 121.
He also promised to bring water and funding to the Region of Murcia if he reaches power. Fernando López Miras joined the event and highlighted the hope that Feijóo represents.
