Swedish forward Henrik Törnqvist has signed with Finnish Liiga team Kärpät after one season in Germany. The 29-year-old right winger previously played for Iserlohn in the DEL.
Törnqvist, who spent his earlier career with Linköping in the SHL, recorded eight goals and three assists in 47 games last season.
Kärpät sports chief Kimmo Kapanen described him as an experienced two-way player who can fill multiple roles.
Törnqvist said his style fits the league and that he enjoys intense hockey, works hard at both ends of the ice and brings a good shot and hockey sense.
He will join fellow Swedes Niklas Rubin and Wiktor Nilsson on the roster.
