Hinaupoko Devèze, 23-year-old Miss Tahiti, was crowned Miss France 2026 at the 96th edition of the contest at the Zénith in Amiens. She succeeds Angélique Angarni-Filopon in an evening hosted by Jean-Pierre Foucault and broadcast on TF1. Miss Nouvelle-Calédonie is first runner-up, followed by Miss Normandie, Miss Guadeloupe, and Miss Roussillon.
The Miss France 2026 ceremony took place on December 6, 2025, at the Zénith in Amiens, marking the first time the Picardy capital hosts the event. Theme: 'The Journey of the Misses', featuring tableaux inspired by antiquity, Asia, the future, and 1930s Hollywood. The 30 regional candidates paraded in original costumes, with Miss Guyane winning the best costume award according to James Paris.
A pre-selection jury eliminated 18 candidates on December 3, based on photogeny, elegance, eloquence, and camaraderie. The 12 semi-finalists, announced by former Miss France winners like Mareva Galanter and Élodie Gossuin, included Miss Normandie, Côte d'Azur, Limousin, Champagne-Ardenne, Nouvelle-Calédonie, Roussillon, Guadeloupe, Île-de-France, Picardie, Languedoc, Tahiti, and Auvergne.
The five finalists were Miss Roussillon (fourth runner-up), Miss Guadeloupe (third), Miss Normandie (second), Miss Tahiti, and Miss Nouvelle-Calédonie (first runner-up). Hinaupoko Devèze, 1.82 m tall and working in administration and tourism, received the crown from Angélique Angarni-Filopon, who referenced her year of harassment: «I wish you to be a bit more kind to her than you were to me sometimes».
The winner stated: «I have a cocktail of emotions, I can't realize what's happening. [...] This victory is collective. It's not just for me but for an entire people». The jury, chaired by Michèle Bernier with Bruce Toussaint, Sally, and Philippe Caverivière, voted 50% alongside the public via SMS and calls.
