Isak Rosén signs two-year NHL deal with Winnipeg Jets

Winnipeg Jets have signed Swedish forward Isak Rosén to a two-year contract worth 925000 dollars per season. The deal marks his first one-way NHL agreement and comes after a midseason trade from the Buffalo Sabres.

Rosén was traded to the Jets during the past season and seized the opportunity with three goals in 21 NHL games. The new contract guarantees him an NHL salary whether he plays in the top league or the AHL.

The 23-year-old was originally selected by Buffalo in the first round of the 2021 draft. He moved from Leksand in Sweden to North America the following year and has recorded 185 points in 231 AHL games.

The Jets announced the agreement on June 25 confirming their commitment to the Swedish forward.
