KRA extends service hours ahead of tax deadline

The Kenya Revenue Authority has extended operating hours at its offices and select Huduma Centres to help taxpayers meet the June 30 filing deadline. The changes, which began on June 17, include Saturday openings and longer weekday shifts.

KRA offices will operate from 7am to 7pm on weekdays from June 17 to June 26. On June 30 they will stay open until midnight.

Huduma Centres in Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru, Eldoret, Meru, Kiambu, Kisumu and other towns will follow the same extended weekday schedule. Branches in Nairobi include GPO, City Square, Kibra, Makadara and Eastleigh.

Saturday operations have also been introduced at selected Huduma Centres on June 20 and June 27 from 9am to 1pm. The Contact Centre will run until 10pm from June 17 to 19 and until midnight from June 22 to 30.

Taxpayers can also use the Shuru WhatsApp chatbot at +254 711 099 999 for 24/7 access to 15 KRA services. All service points remain closed on Sundays.
