Sumar parties gathered in Barcelona on Saturday to criticize corruption cases in the PSOE and demand transparency, but reaffirmed their support for Pedro Sánchez's government until 2027.
Ministers Pablo Bustinduy, Mónica García and Ernest Urtasun, along with Antonio Maíllo and Lara Hernández, took part in an event in Barcelona. They stated that corruption cases are no excuse to leave the government and promised to resist until the 2027 elections.
Bustinduy accused the PSOE's "malditos corruptos" but argued that Spain must remain an exception against "trumpismo". He announced that Sumar will again present the rental extension decree in Congress, rejected in April.
García and Urtasun stressed that their coalition represents "the clean left" and called on the PSOE for "exemplarity and transparency". Maíllo urged the party to "clean its house" without breaking the government pact.
