Manchester United send Andre Onana back to Trabzonspor on loan

Manchester United have confirmed that goalkeeper Andre Onana will return to Trabzonspor on loan for the 2026/27 season. The move marks a second stint in Turkey for the Cameroon international following a disappointing period at Old Trafford.

Manchester United announced the loan agreement on July 3. Onana, who joined the club from Inter Milan for £47.2 million in 2023, made 102 appearances for the team before being sent to Turkey last September.

During his first loan spell at Trabzonspor, the 30-year-old featured in 40 matches across all competitions. He helped the club secure third place in the Super Lig and win the Turkish Cup.

A club statement said Onana has joined Trabzonspor on loan for the 2026/27 season, subject to international clearance. It added that everyone at United wishes him the best for the campaign ahead.
