Jones was originally selected by the Vegas Golden Knights in the seventh round (No. 189 overall) of the 2017 NHL Draft. Over parts of three NHL seasons with Vegas (2021-22) and the Wild (2024-25), he has appeared in 48 games, firing 42 shots on goal and delivering 102 hits.

In the AHL, Jones has built a solid resume across seven seasons with Chicago (2019-20), Henderson (2020-22), Calgary (2022-24), and Iowa (2024-25), accumulating 199 points (85 goals, 114 assists) and 282 penalty minutes in 335 regular-season games. He also has four points (2 goals, 2 assists) and 22 penalty minutes in 22 Calder Cup Playoff games.
