New Delta project boosts Egypt cultivated land by over 20%, says PM Madbouly

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced that the New Delta Project has expanded Egypt's cultivated land by more than 20 percent, speaking at a cabinet meeting held the same day President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi inaugurated the major agricultural initiative in Giza Governorate.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly described the New Delta Project as one of Egypt’s largest development initiatives, completed in record time through coordinated efforts across ministries and state institutions.

Speaking at the government’s weekly cabinet meeting in the New Administrative Capital, Madbouly noted that the project adds agricultural land exceeding the combined cultivated area of four governorates. He highlighted its potential to create substantial employment opportunities for young people in farming and related sectors while boosting production of key strategic crops.

Madbouly also credited the private sector’s involvement and President Al-Sisi’s direct oversight for the project’s rapid delivery.
