Örebro SK secured its first Superettan season opener win in nine years by beating Landskrona Bois 1–0. Kalle Holmberg headed in the winning goal in coach Rikard Norling's debut. Despite Landskrona dominating much of the game, ÖSK held on.
ÖSK faced Landskrona Bois in the 2026 Superettan opener and won 1–0. The goal came from Kalle Holmberg, who headed in a cross from Yasin. It marked ÖSK's first opener goal and win since 2017.
Rikard Norling made his coaching debut for ÖSK and admitted afterward that Landskrona was the better team. “We must go through matches like this,” he said at the press conference. To NA Sporten, he added: “We need matches like this to break out of the damn iron grip someone has on ÖSK”.
Holmberg wiped blood from his fingers post-match and said: “It was worth it”. ÖSK kept a clean sheet and earned three points despite a weak first half where they were outplayed.
The win gives ÖSK a fortunate start to the season under Norling's leadership.
