Police to use drones during Nostalgidagarna in Säter

The police authority has decided on drone surveillance in parts of Säter during the weekend of 17 to 19 July in connection with Nostalgidagarna.

The decision covers Friday 17 July from 5 pm to Saturday 18 July at 5 am and Saturday 18 July from 5 pm to Sunday 19 July at 5 am.

The purpose is to prevent, hinder or detect criminal activity as well as maintain public order and safety.

The police use unmanned aircraft systems and may use footage in investigative work. The decision does not allow filming inside homes.
