On Wednesday 15 April, the NAF Five Star Winter Dressage Championships began at Addington with impressive wins in key classes. Sadie Smith, the 2025 national champion, earned 76.95% aboard the five-year-old mare Times Rococo, owned and bred by Peter Belshaw. This score placed her nearly two percentage points ahead of Alice Oppenheimer, who took second on Headmore So Sapphire with 75% and third on Headmore Forever Ruby with 74.45%—all top spots claimed by mares. Sadie praised her mount, known as Coco: “She takes everything in her stride. I have a really lovely relationship with her; I’ve ridden and produced her from the start, and she tries so hard.”
