Sheinbaum presents Lázaro Cárdenas plan in Oaxaca

President Claudia Sheinbaum presented the General Lázaro Cárdenas La Mixteca Plan in Oaxaca, stressing that Mexico will not return to a regime of corruption and privileges. At the event, she reviewed the achievements of the fourth transformation over seven years. The plan aims to reduce marginalization in the Mixteca region through infrastructure and social programs.

In San Pedro y San Pablo Teposcolula, Oaxaca, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo presented the General Lázaro Cárdenas La Mixteca Plan, a program aimed at reducing marginalization, combating environmental deterioration, and strengthening productive and social capacities in communities. The plan, coordinated by Lázaro Cárdenas Batel, head of the Presidency Office, addresses a 'historical debt of governmental attention' in the Mixteca region, coordinating efforts among federal, state, and municipal agencies.

Sheinbaum reviewed the seven years of the fourth transformation (six under Andrés Manuel López Obrador and one hers), highlighting programs such as universal pensions for seniors, students, small producers, and women. She asked attendees if the country had changed after neoliberal governments, receiving an affirmative 'yes!' from the crowd. 'There are some, just a few, who want to return to the regime of corruption and privileges, but we tell them: "No more". Mexico is on the path of the fourth transformation of public life in Mexico. Our principles: for the good of all, the poor first', she emphasized.

She added: 'We have that maxim, the people's money is the people's in Mexico, never again for the powerful, for the privileged'. Regarding the plan, she mentioned advances like the reconstruction of nearly 900 kilometers of roads, with the same amount planned for next year, rehabilitation of schools, construction of health centers, and water works. Another report indicates modernization of over 1,100 kilometers of highways and construction of artisanal roads. The program includes road infrastructure, hospitals, education, and social programs, with an investment of 5,900 million pesos benefiting 1.54 million inhabitants.

Sheinbaum announced Bienestar pharmacies for 2026, school improvements and nearby high schools, repair of water treatment plants, and a special program for water cisterns in communities. Governor Salomón Jara expressed support for the president. 'We did not arrive at the government imposed by an elite. The people of Mexico put us there', Sheinbaum stated, celebrating the increase in social programs after neoliberal eras.
