The Springboks defeated Wales 43-0 at Kings Park in Durban on Saturday to complete an unbeaten start to the Nations Championship.
South Africa scored seven tries through Jasper Wiese, Cobus Reinach, Jesse Kriel, Jaco Williams, Herschel Jantjies, Kurt-Lee Arendse and Paul de Villiers. The half-time score was 19-0.
Four players made their Test debuts, including 20-year-old flyhalf Vusi Moyo who converted three of four attempts at goal. Coach Rassie Erasmus made wholesale changes for the third consecutive week.
The result lifted the Springboks to the top of the southern standings on points difference ahead of New Zealand. Both sides have 15 log points after three matches.
Wales captain Dewi Lake said his team showed improvement despite the scoreline. Flanker Paul de Villiers noted execution issues caused by a wet ball but praised the set-piece dominance.
