Storms in Île-de-France reduce train services on lines C, J, N and U

Saturday evening storms disrupted Transilien traffic in Île-de-France. SNCF announced reduced frequencies and interruptions on several lines.

A dozen large trees fell on the tracks and damaged catenary equipment over several hundred meters. Lightning also struck electrical installations in the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines area.

Line J remains completely interrupted at least until 6 July between Poissy and Les Mureaux. Direct trains between Mantes-la-Jolie and Paris use an alternative route via Conflans-Sainte-Honorine.

On line N one train runs every half hour during peak hours toward Paris from Rambouillet. Line U frequency is reduced to one train every thirty minutes during peak hours. Traffic on line C is largely reduced between Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and Versailles-Chantiers. SNCF expects disruptions for several days.
