A truck driver will face trial after killing a 67-year-old cyclist in Lockarp outside Malmö. The crash occurred when the driver turned left and the sun blocked his view.
The accident took place on March 4 at 5 p.m. on Lockarps kyrkoväg near Oxie. The truck driver turned left onto a smaller road and drove straight into the cyclist coming in the opposite lane.
The 67-year-old man died from his injuries. The driver is said to have had the sun in his eyes at the time.
The truck driver will now face trial for the incident, according to reports from Sydsvenskan.
