U.S. embassy Nairobi announces high-paying jobs with salaries up to Ksh 5.6m

The U.S. Embassy in Nairobi has opened applications for several positions at the American mission, including roles with annual salaries reaching Ksh5.67 million.

The United States Department of State announced the vacancies through the embassy for qualified Kenyans. The openings span administrative, protocol, political and supply management roles.

One position is for supply supervisor in the General Services Office. It carries an annual salary of Ksh1.94 million and is limited to internal applicants, with a deadline of May 21, 2026.

A protocol assistant role in the Executive Office is open to all applicants. Pay ranges from Ksh2.68 million to Ksh4.56 million a year, depending on experience, and applications close on May 22, 2026.

The highest-paying post listed is senior political specialist. It offers about Ksh5.67 million annually and is also open to external candidates, with the same May 22 deadline.
