Zach Dean scored 3:45 into overtime to give the Springfield Thunderbirds a 3-2 victory over the Providence Bruins in Game 3 of their Atlantic Division semifinal series on Tuesday night. The win puts Springfield up 2-1 in the best-of-five matchup.
Calle Rosén scored twice in regulation for the Thunderbirds while Dean's centering pass deflected off a Providence defender past goaltender Michael DiPietro for the game-winning goal. Georgi Romanov turned aside 33 shots to earn the victory for Springfield.
