The Secretariat of Governance kicked off the 16 Days of Activism against Violence towards Women, a campaign promoted by UN Women and adopted by the Mexican government under President Claudia Sheinbaum. Secretary Rosa Icela Rodríguez stressed the state's commitment to ensuring a life free of violence for women and girls. Legal advances and a new national plan to combat harassment and abuse were highlighted.
