I've been an Acurite user for a decade now, and this is major top level "might make me pick another product" type of mistake.
The core features of the app are free including viewing the data, charts and detailed historical data for the past 30 days, much like MyAcuRite was. The optional AcuRite NOW+ feature would include steaming data to Weather Underground and detailed historical data for 365 days.
