Addis Ababa butchery organization prepares over 4,000 animals for Easter

The Addis Ababa Butcheries Organization has prepared to provide slaughter services for over 4,000 healthy animals ahead of Easter. Chief Executive Ato Muluneh Desalegn announced the initiative. The animals include 2,600 oxen and 1,400 sheep and goats.

On Miyaziya 3, 2018 E.C. (Fana Media), the Addis Ababa Butcheries Organization announced preparations for Easter slaughter services. Chief Executive Ato Muluneh Desalegn stated that over 4,000 healthy animals will be provided to the public.

Among these, 2,600 are oxen and 1,400 are sheep and goats. The organization has secured sufficient transport vehicles and constructed a modern slaughter facility. Consumers heading to slaughterhouses will receive stamped meat with certification, as noted.

Pre- and post-slaughter inspections ensure the service complies with religious requirements. Transporters operate without slaughter fees, working swiftly to deliver fresh meat.
