The American Hockey League honored two team executives with annual business awards during its 2026 Team Business Meetings in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Ryan Holt, vice president of marketing and communications for the Bakersfield Condors, received the Ken McKenzie Award for the 2025-26 season. Mason Wilks, director of ticket sales and service for the San Jose Barracuda, was named the recipient of the Frank Torres Memorial Award.
The presentations took place at the DeVos Place Convention Center as part of the league's annual meetings, which drew more than 250 representatives from AHL clubs. Holt has worked with the Condors since 2011 and led initiatives that drove record attendance and revenue. Wilks, who joined the Barracuda in 2023, oversaw growth in season and group ticket sales despite staff turnover.
The Ken McKenzie Award recognizes executives who promote their clubs effectively. The Frank Torres Memorial Award, established in 2024, honors leadership in business development and sales. The AHL, in its 90th-anniversary season, serves as the primary development league for the NHL.
