Aik comes from behind to win 2-1 against Fc Rosengård in home opener

Fc Rosengård led 1-0 in their home opener at Malmö ip but lost late. Aik equalized in the 82nd minute via Ida Björnberg and won on stoppage time with Olivia Garcia. Molly Johansson says the team needs to last 90 minutes.

At windy but sunny Malmö ip on Easter Sunday, Fc Rosengård faced Aik in the Allsvenskan. Fc Rosengård dominated early and took the lead in the 24th minute. Filippa Sjöström delivered a corner that Molly Johansson headed in.

"We have trained extremely on corners and got good timing. It was perfectly served by Filippa, so it was just to put the head forward," says Johansson.

Fc Rosengård kept control in the second half but missed chances, like Sjöström's shot off the bar. After an hour, the game shifted. Aik equalized in the 82nd minute through Ida Björnberg.

Stoppage time saw substitute Olivia Garcia score Aik's winner at 2-1. Johansson calls the last 30 minutes "classic Hawaii play" with unnecessary turnovers and poor defensive positioning.

"The first half we were calm with the ball and positioned right in defense. But failing to maintain level the last 30 minutes ruins it," she says. Fc Rosengård has lost both opening matches this season, but Johansson stresses the ongoing process and long season ahead.
