Airbus Spain unions reject pre-agreement and plan indefinite strike from August 24

Unions UGT, CGT, SIPA, ATP and UTIL have agreed to start procedures for an indefinite strike at Airbus Spain from August 24. They reject the wage pre-agreement reached with CCOO, which includes a 12% rise between 2026 and 2027. The current strike, started on July 1, will continue until July 31.

The unions, except CCOO, made the decision on Tuesday after an assembly. They view the company offer as insufficient, despite maintained telework and an IPC-linked review clause.

CCOO will submit the pre-agreement to a referendum this Thursday among the 14,000 workers. The deal foresees a 5% rise in January 2026 and another 5% in April 2027, plus 0.5% individual reviews.

The indefinite strike would restart after the three-week August vacation closure. Affected sites include Getafe, the Seville plants, Illescas, El Puerto de Santa María and Albacete.

The unions also demand preservation of vacation negotiations and compliance with the National Court ruling on the temporary disability supplement.
