Williams driver Alex Albon has highlighted how the Miami Grand Prix has improved since its debut, crediting better organization and a welcoming atmosphere after the team earned points at the event.
Albon spoke during a Williams video interview with former driver David Coulthard. He noted the event's evolution since Formula 1 first arrived in 2022, saying the initial year felt like a show similar to early Las Vegas. Over time, he added, the structure has improved significantly, making the race enjoyable for teams and drivers alike. Albon also mentioned that he and his partner Lily discuss the possibility of living in Miami due to its positive vibe and friendly locals. The contract for the race now runs through 2041. Williams arrived with upgrades after a five-week break and scored three points through ninth place for Carlos Sainz and tenth for Albon. The result lifted the team to eighth in the constructors' standings with five points total, ahead of Audi. The squad now prepares for the Canadian Grand Prix scheduled for 22-24 May.
