Amy Grant to release new album after 13-year hiatus

Amy Grant is set to release her first album of new music in 13 years, titled The Me That Remains, on Friday. The project marks a return following health challenges and personal reflection in Nashville.

The album comes out on Thirty Tigers and features collaborations with artists including Ruby Amanfu, Mac McAnally, Vince Gill and Michael W. Smith. Grant wrote the title track after creating a creative space in her home, reflecting on recovery from open-heart surgery in 2020 and a 2022 bicycle accident that caused a traumatic brain injury. Songs address themes of healing, relationships and social issues, including one inspired by the 2023 Covenant School shooting in Nashville that Grant co-wrote with Amanfu after visiting the state capitol to discuss gun control.
