Apple is preparing to introduce a redesigned Siri powered by Google's Gemini models at its upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference. The update, expected with iOS 27, will feature major interface changes and enhanced AI capabilities. Release is scheduled for mid-September.
Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman described the new Siri interface, which will reside in the Dynamic Island on iPhone models from the 14 Pro onward. Users will activate it via voice commands or by swiping down from the top center to access a Search or Ask panel that supports text and voice input, with results shown in cards. A dedicated Siri app will also launch, allowing conversations, document uploads, and history browsing, similar to competitors like ChatGPT and Claude.
