Apple TV announces Safe Houses espionage thriller series

Apple TV has acquired Safe Houses, an eight-episode international spy thriller series showrun by Emmy Award-winner Gideon Raff. Inspired by Dan Fesperman's acclaimed novel, the series follows a fugitive CIA agent and the widow of a murdered officer as they uncover a global conspiracy. The series is showrun and executive produced by Gideon Raff, known for The Spy and as creator of Homeland. Raff will also direct several episodes. Otto Bathurst, director of Peaky Blinders, helms the opening block. Executive producers include Alexandra Milchan, Paul Lee, and David Flynn for wiip. Mike Seid co-executive produces alongside Adam Berkowitz, with Sara Gonzalo as producer and author Dan Fesperman as consulting producer.

This co-production between global independent studio wiip and Apple Studios is based on Fesperman's 2018 novel. Apple TV announced the project on November 5, 2025, expanding its spy thriller lineup alongside series like Slow Horses. No casting or release date has been revealed yet.
