Avenged Sevenfold have surprise-released a four-track EP titled Statica. The collection arrived on July 24 without prior announcement.
The California metal band unveiled the futuristic electronic-tinged EP featuring the songs Lights, Statica, Rejoice and Ashes. It marks their first significant release since the 2023 album Life Is but a Dream... and continues the experimental direction seen on that record and 2016's The Stage.
The EP incorporates robotic vocals, sci-fi synths and electronic dance beats. It follows the standalone single Magic released in December 2025 for an update to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
Avenged Sevenfold will begin a co-headline North American tour with Good Charlotte on July 25 in Ridgedale, Missouri. The tour includes multiple dates across the United States and Canada through the end of August.
