The Benishangul Gumuz Regional State Mining Development Bureau has delivered 1,723 kilograms of gram gold to the National Bank over the past six months. Efforts are underway this budget year to deliver more than 7,000 kg of gold. This achievement stems from the government's macro-economic adjustments addressing gold market challenges.
Addis Ababa, Tikimt 13, 2018 (Fana) – The Benishangul Gumuz Regional State Mining Development Bureau has generated 27 million Birr in revenue from various sources in the field. Bureau head Tujani Adem stated that in the 2018 budget year, preparations are being made to deliver more than 7,000 kilograms of gram gold to the National Bank.
In the current quarter, 1,723 kg of gram gold was delivered to the National Bank from producers with production interest and special low societies. This follows the government's macro-economic adjustments that resolve gold market issues, transforming field-employed gold miners into users for IZEA, as explained.
The bureau is extensively working to modernize the field with technology, enhancing producers' capacity and providing technology inputs, noted Tujani Adem. This initiative could strengthen the region's mining gold output and contribute to national economic development.
