The Bogotá Mobility Secretariat reported that in 2026 so far it has suspended 529 motorcyclist licenses for six months and opened 1,559 new recidivism investigations.
The entity detailed that these processes add to about 5,906 recidivism investigations already underway. The most common infraction is C24, with 28,498 fines issued through May.
Outgoing Mobility Secretary Claudia Díaz stated that “these infractions represent a risk for pedestrians, cyclists and for the motorcyclists themselves”. She recalled that more than one infraction in six months leads to license suspension.
Other frequent violations include 13,489 fines for failing to complete the technical-mechanical review and 12,782 for driving without a license.
