Casemiro has signed with Major League Soccer club Inter Miami after leaving Manchester United. The Brazilian midfielder agreed to a contract running through the end of the 2027 season with an option to extend until June 2029. MLS has launched a review into the transfer.
Casemiro departed Manchester United when his contract expired on June 30 after four years at the club. He made 111 Premier League appearances and won the FA Cup and Carabao Cup during his time there.
The 34-year-old was officially unveiled by Inter Miami on Wednesday. He will team up with Lionel Messi in the United States after recently returning from international duty with Brazil.
MLS confirmed it is reviewing the deal for a potential breach of league rules on discovery rights. Inter Miami acquired those rights from LA Galaxy, but further details remain undisclosed until the review ends.
The league stated it is gathering information and will not comment further until the process concludes.
