Colombian air traffic grows 7.7 percent through april

Colombia's civil aviation authority reported 19.6 million air passengers moved between January and April, up 7.7 percent from the same period in 2025.

In April 4.6 million passengers were carried, reflecting a 4.6 percent rise from the previous year. The increase added 202,000 more travelers at the country's airports.

The domestic market grew 8.1 percent over the first four months. Routes linking Bogotá, Medellín and Cali with San Andrés and Providencia recorded the strongest demand.

International traffic rose 7.1 percent. Top destinations included Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Brazil, Caribbean islands and Guatemala, while the busiest origin markets were Spain, Mexico, Argentina and Chile.

Cargo and mail reached 94,754 tons in April, up 3.2 percent. The January-April total stood at 338,887 tons, marking a 4.3 percent gain.
