complaint filed against consulting activities of christian estrosi and his wife

A complaint targeting the consulting activities of Christian Estrosi, mayor of Nice, and his wife Laura Tenoudji has been filed with the National Financial Prosecutor's Office. It accuses the couple of receiving 1.512 million euros from Smart Good Things Holding without real services provided. Estrosi's lawyers denounce it as a political maneuver ahead of the municipal elections.

The National Financial Prosecutor's Office (PNF) has received a complaint against Christian Estrosi, Horizons mayor of Nice, and Laura Tenoudji, without specifying if an investigation has been opened. Revealed by Nice-Matin, this complaint "against X" for "misuse of company assets" and "handling of misused assets" comes from an anonymous whistleblower employee of Smart Good Things Holding. According to his lawyer, Me Guillaume Sergent, who also filed it in Marseille, the complainant questions the reality of services provided by the couple from May 2024 to June 2025, for a total of 1.512 million euros in fees.

Smart Good Things Holding, directed by businessman Serge Bueno and partly owned by former basketball player Tony Parker, promotes instant powdered drinks. The complaint details 960,000 euros in fees: 480,000 euros each for Estrosi's Hopkins & Hopkins company and Tenoudji's Startup Story, linked to a November 2023 agreement on the sale of a subsidiary, Salva, to the mutual group Garance for 50 million euros according to Nice-Matin. Salva allows "cagnotting" during purchases for retirement income. The remainder concerns 192,000 euros for Estrosi and 360,000 euros for Tenoudji, a TV columnist.

Christian Estrosi's lawyers, Pierre-Olivier Sur and Mathias Chichportich, describe this complaint as a political "stink bomb," months before the 2026 municipal elections where he is a candidate. They state that their client runs a consulting firm in compliance with rules for elected officials, without receiving personal salary but only through company invoices. "The alleged complainant doubtless pretends to ignore [...] that Christian Estrosi carries out this managerial activity without receiving any salary or commissions other than the amounts invoiced by his company," they write in a statement.
