Daniel Curtis Lee expressed devastation after his homeless 'Ned's Declassified' co-star Tylor Chase allegedly trashed a motel room he booked for him, highlighting challenges in California's support systems for those in need.
In a follow-up to his December 23 effort to provide shelter for Tylor Chase amid homelessness in Riverside, California, Daniel Curtis Lee reported that the motel room was left in disarray just hours after check-in. Management contacted Lee to inform him the door was left open, the refrigerator was overturned, and the microwave had been placed in the bathtub.
Lee shared the incident on social media on Christmas Day, noting that Chase's family had previously warned him about similar past behavior at hotels. 'I was wrong to think this would be any different,' Lee wrote, expressing heartbreak over the situation.
Lee criticized California's support systems as 'extremely hard' to navigate for individuals like Chase, who has declined offers such as a rehab spot from 'Mighty Ducks' actor Shaun Weiss in San Clemente. Lee emphasized that ultimately, 'the only one who can help Tylor is going to have to be himself,' while considering other ways to assist.
This incident underscores ongoing struggles faced by former child stars, including Chase, known for roles in 'Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide' (2004-2007), 'Everybody Hates Chris,' and 'Good Time Max.'
