Dennis Hall has taken over as Luleå's new head coach and outlined his initial impressions of the roster. He highlighted a stable foundation but noted a specific issue on the blue line.
Dennis Hall steps into his first SHL head coaching role with Luleå after replacing Thomas Berglund. He joins alongside assistant Pär Arlbrandt, who arrives from SCL Tigers. Hall previously coached BIK Karlskoga. The club currently has 22 players under contract, including two goaltenders, eight defensemen and twelve forwards. Hall described the goaltending as stable with Joel Lassinantti and Matteus Ward. He also noted a solid two-way core among the defensemen. A clear challenge exists on the back end. Only Oskari Laaksonen is a right-shot defenseman. Hall said the staff must find ways to maximize the group despite the imbalance. Hall wants to build on Luleå's established press game while adding small adjustments for quicker transitions. His target for the first season is a top-six finish.
