DHL adds 81 JAC units to its fleet in Mexico

DHL Express Mexico has integrated 81 JAC Sunray Cargo Euro VI vehicles into its logistics operations, part of an ambitious renewal plan to acquire 1,002 units in 2025 with a 70 million euro investment. This partnership with JAC and Grupo Andrade aims to enhance efficiency and sustainability in last-mile transport. Executives emphasized commitment to innovation and the environment at the official handover.

The acquisition of these 81 units represents a milestone in DHL Express Mexico's strategy to modernize its vehicle fleet. The handover event featured representatives from Grupo Andrade, DHL, and JAC Mexico, marketed by Giant Motors Latin America. Antonio Arranz, CEO of DHL Express Mexico, described 2025 as a record year with historic fleet investment following rigorous tests across various regions of the country.

"This is a record year for the company, with one of the highest fleet investments in its history," Arranz stated, highlighting the commitment to JAC after passing strict evaluations.

The JAC Sunray Cargo 2026 vehicles meet high standards for safety, technology, and efficiency, suited for intensive delivery operations. They provide benefits such as lower fuel consumption to cut costs, safety technologies for drivers and cargo, versatility in types like vans, mediums, extended load, and cubes, plus reduced emissions in line with DHL's environmental goals.

Elías Massri, CEO of Giant Motors Latin America, underscored JAC's bet on Mexico, where it assembles products and reinvests in local infrastructure. "Mexico is our main commitment," he said, noting JAC reached 100,000 units sold two months ago, with Sunray accounting for about 10%.

Miguel Ángel Iglesias Sotelo, general director of Grupo Andrade's Automotive Division, stressed mutual trust and ongoing after-sales support. "This relationship does not end with today's delivery; here begins a stage of total support," he noted.

This initiative positions the three companies as leaders in logistics transformation, tailored to the rise of e-commerce and urban distribution in Mexico.
