A 36-year-old driver in Hamburg ignored a traffic barrier and slightly injured a police officer. The officer jumped aside and was taken to hospital. The driver was arrested shortly after fleeing.
The incident took place in the Eimsbüttel district. A police spokesperson confirmed that the driver fled despite a warning shot. He was stopped and arrested shortly afterwards. The 32-year-old officer suffered minor injuries. The background to the incident remained unclear initially. Police ruled out any connection to the Linkin Park concert at the Barclays Arena. The barriers had been set up because of the event that evening.
