Egyptian Exchange marks 30 years of CIB Global Depositary Receipts programme

The Egyptian Exchange held a ceremony today marking the 30th anniversary of Commercial International Bank Egypt launching its Global Depositary Receipts programme in international markets.

A special opening bell ceremony took place with attendees including Omar Reda chairperson of the Egyptian Exchange Mohamed Sabry vice chairperson Hisham Ezz Al Arab chief executive officer of Commercial International Bank Egypt and other bank executives.

Commercial International Bank Egypt was the first Egyptian bank to launch the programme which connected the local capital market with global investors.

Representatives from The Bank of New York Mellon and London Stock Exchange Group joined financial institutions and market experts at the event.
