Empress Of announces new album Dream House

Empress Of has announced her upcoming album Dream House, which will be released on September 18 via Giant Music. The record follows her 2024 release For Your Consideration and addresses the aftermath of the Altadena fires that destroyed her home.

The album's lead single "Wild Storm" was released on June 26 alongside a video directed by Mitch deQuilettes. The track was originally written years earlier but revisited by the artist during her recovery from the fires.

Lorely Rodriguez, who performs as Empress Of, described the project's origins in a statement. She recalled making a voice memo with the phrase "I wanna build a dream for you," which sparked the album's creation.

Cecile Believe contributed to the record throughout, and Blood Orange appears on one track. Rodriguez is scheduled to perform at New York’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on September 30 to mark the album's release.
