Floods and landslides struck 14 subdistricts in Bandung Regency due to heavy rain pouring since Thursday afternoon (4/12/2025) through the night. According to the Bandung Regency Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), thousands of residents' homes were submerged by floodwaters, while others were buried under landslide debris since December 3 and 4, 2025.
The first landslide was recorded in Kampung Pasirmulya, Pangalengan Subdistrict, burying two residents' houses. In Kampung Pasirkaliki, Panyirapan Village, Soreang Subdistrict, a landslide buried two houses and caused a retaining wall to collapse. Flooding in the same village submerged residential areas. Additionally, a landslide in Kampung Cimonce, Sukajadi Village, Soreang Subdistrict, damaged a house wall.
Floods spread to Kampung Jelekong, Pasirkaliki, Cipendeuy, and Cingcin Village, Soreang Subdistrict, submerging dozens of homes. In Kampung Cijagra, Bojongsoang Village, Bojongsoang Subdistrict, hundreds of houses were flooded. A landslide and flood in Kampung Kawung Luwuk, Bandasari Village, Cangkuang Subdistrict, affected five houses. Another landslide occurred in Kampung Leweung Datar, Bandasari Village, Cangkuang Subdistrict.
Flooding impacted Kampung Kamasan, Kamasan Village; Kampung Margahurip, Margahurip Village, Banjaran Subdistrict; Kampung Cibedug Hilir and Girang, Cangkuang Wetan Village, Dayeuhkolot Subdistrict; and Kampung Bojongasih and Citereup Village, Dayeuhkolot Subdistrict, with thousands of homes submerged. In Kampung Ciseeng, Mekarsari Village, Cimaung Subdistrict, a landslide affected over a dozen houses. Other landslides in Pasirjambu Subdistrict, floods in Kampung Babakan, Margarahayu Village, Margaasih Subdistrict; Kampung Sukamukti, Katapang Subdistrict; and Pameungpeuk Subdistrict. A landslide in Kampung Puncak Mulya, Cihawuk Village, Kertasari Subdistrict, and in Ciwidey Subdistrict, affected over a dozen homes.
In Baleendah Subdistrict, thousands of houses were flooded, and some roads were impassable to two- and four-wheeled vehicles. Head of BPBD Bandung Regency, Wahyudin, stated that teams are continuing assessments and evacuations. "Residents are urged to remain alert; teams are still conducting assessments and evacuations," he said on Friday (5/12/2025).
