Gothia train stuck for three hours after electrical fault

A chartered train carrying youths from the Gothia Cup is stuck in Hallsberg due to an electrical fault.

Train traffic toward Stockholm has been halted after an electrical fault between Hallsberg and Pålsboda. Three X 2000 trains and the chartered train with football youths are standing still.

Zandra Eriksson, coach for Sigtuna-Märsta United, states the group has waited three hours. She says the train has been deprioritized because it is chartered.

SJ confirms the delays and states that the travel guarantee applies. The train was scheduled to arrive in Stockholm at 23:00 on Saturday.
