Graeme Swann urges India to fast-track Vaibhav Sooryavanshi

Former England spinner Graeme Swann has called for 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi to be included in India's T20I team without delay.

During a 40-minute media interaction on Sunday, Swann described the left-handed batter as a once-in-a-generation talent.

He said if he were India's captain or coach he would select Sooryavanshi immediately. Swann added there is no reason the teenager cannot become the world's best player for the next 15 years.

Sooryavanshi was kept out of India's recent two-match T20I series in Ireland despite strong IPL performances. Swann noted the player can dominate top bowlers even though he is not yet old enough to drive in England.

Swann also said new India skipper Shreyas Iyer is well placed to maintain the standards set by Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav.
