On Saturday, December 21, 2025, the field in Desa Sidorejo, Kecamatan Sekampung Udik, Lampung Timur Regency, was filled with thousands of Muslim worshippers attending a grand pengajian led by national preacher Gus Ikhdam. The event proceeded solemnly, with attendees listening attentively to the sermon, accompanied by recitations of salawat and collective prayers until late evening.
The pengajian was also attended by Lampung Timur Regent Ela Siti Nuryamah along with local government officials. In her remarks, Ela expressed appreciation for the religious gathering, which strengthens faith and community togetherness. "The importance of maintaining unity and harmony among residents. She reminded that differences in views should not divide brotherhood in Lampung Timur society," Ela stated in her comments.
Ela urged the community, especially Muslims, to use the pengajian as an opportunity to enhance daily worship and morals. She encouraged the youth to participate actively in religious activities as a moral safeguard in the modern era and hoped the sermon's messages would be applied in social life.
