"Libremente contarle a la sociedad colombiana que ninguna de las personas mencionadas en la entrevista con la actual funcionaria Angie Rodríguez ha tenido o tiene alguna relación sentimental conmigo", Petro stated in his pronouncement.
The controversy stemmed from Rodríguez's accusations against several officials close to the Executive, including the jefe de Despacho and the director of the Unidad Nacional para la Gestión del Riesgo de Desastres. Rodríguez claimed to be a victim of a plot related to internal decisions and management of key entities.
