Healthcare management book launched in Chennai

A book covering management dimensions of healthcare in India was launched in Chennai on Saturday. Titled ‘Management of Healthcare in India - Need for a paradigm shift’, it was edited by Tilak Shankar, former director of AF Ferguson & Co. and CEO of Management Solutions. V. Mohan released the book and presented the first copy to industrialist Lakshmi Narayanan and Pritha Venkatachalam.

V. Mohan, Chairman of Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialities Centre and Chairman of Madras Diabetes Research Foundation, released the book. He presented the first copy to industrialist Lakshmi Narayanan, Vice Chairman of Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS Trust Hospital and Chancellor of Krea University, as well as to Pritha Venkatachalam, Partner & Co-Head of Asia and Africa at The Bridgespan Group.

The launch highlighted management strategies for Indian healthcare, with discussions on affordability, accessibility, and the role of empathy. The event focused on Tamil Nadu's healthcare context.
