Indonesia U-19 closed the AFF U-19 Cup 2026 with a 1-0 win over Cambodia to finish third. Coach Nova Arianto said he was not fully satisfied with the team's performance.
Indonesia U-19 defeated Cambodia 1-0 in the third-place match on Saturday 13 June 2026 at Stadion Utama Sumatera Utara in Deli Serdang. The only goal was scored by Muhammad Al Gazani in the 62nd minute with a header from a corner kick.
Nova Arianto said he was grateful for the win but felt the performance fell short of expectations. He highlighted the need to improve physical fitness and tactical understanding ahead of the AFC U-20 2027 qualifiers.
Indonesia had lost 0-1 to Australia in the semifinal. Nova noted the tournament helped evaluate players for the upcoming matches in Laos from late August to early September 2026.
